Can the outside of the pan stain?
Yes. Due to high heat and cooking residue, the outside of the pan can stain. To reduce the risk of staining, take care not to allow food to boil over and clean the pans after every use.
Stains on the outside of the pan do not cause the pan to work differently; the stains are only superficial. Stains on the pans will not be cause for replacement or refund under the money-back or lifetime guarantee policy.
How do I clean stains on the pans?
We recommend using soap and water. A plastic scrub-type cleaner can be used.
We do not recommend using lemon juice, baking soda, salt, or lemon to clean the pans.
Do the pans require special cleaning?
No. The pans are dishwasher safe. We recommend using soap and water. A plastic scrub-type cleaner can be used to clean cooked-on food.
After repeated cleaning in a dishwasher, any coating will become coarse. The best practice for cleaning pans with a nonstick coating is to wash by hand and wipe with a dry cloth. The pan can be air dried.
Can aerosol cooking sprays be used?
Aerosol sprays are not recommended because they tend to build up after use.
Should the pans be preheated when cooking?
Preheat the pan over medium heat before adding food. The food should sizzle when placed in the pan. Do not crowd the pan with food. Please follow recipe guidelines and instructions.
What are the pans made from?
Base: Hard-anodized aluminum.
Bottom and handle: Stainless steel induction plate and handle(s).
Glass lid: Glass with stainless steel handle and wrap.
Cooking surface/inside of pan: High-quality nonstick coating.
Is the coating Teflon™?
No. The coating on the Emeril Forever Pans is not the registered Teflon™ coating or its chemical equivalent. Our 3-layer nonstick hybrid coating is even more advanced. Our patented nonstick coating is more durable, PFOA free, lead free, and cadmium free.
Are the pans safe to use around birds?
Are pans compatible with induction cooktops?
Yes. The stainless steel induction plate attached to the bottom each pan makes the pans compatible with induction cooktops.
What is important about hard-anodized surfaces?
Hard-anodized surfaces are durable, corrosion resistant, and non-reactive. You can cook anything in pans with hard-anodized surfaces, including acidic ingredients, like tomatoes, lemon juice, and wine. These surfaces also maintain the excellent heat conduction properties of regular aluminum; the surface heats up fast and distributes heat evenly. The pans are nonstick, which means there is less need for oils/butter when cooking. The pans heat evenly and quickly, react quickly to temperature changes, do not ding or scratch easily, and are stackable.
Do the pans need seasoning?
We recommend seasoning the pans on a regular basis for best performance.
The Emeril Lagasse Forever Pan is covered by a 90-day money-back guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with your product, return the product and request a replacement product or refund. Proof of purchase is required. Refunds will include the purchase price, less processing, and handling. Follow the instructions in the Return Policy below to request a replacement or refund.
The Emeril Lagasse Forever Pans, including the nonstick surface, will last a lifetime. For the purposes of this guarantee, the lifetime is seven (7) years from the date of purchase. This guarantee does not cover changes in the appearance of the pan unless they have a significant impact on function. For this guarantee to apply, the Emeril Lagasse Forever Pans must be used as directed in the instruction manual.
In the event that your pan does not perform properly during the first seven (7) years of ownership, please contact www.tristarcares.com to arrange for replacement of your pan with a new Emeril Lagasse Forever Pan, an equivalent pan, or a pro rata refund of your purchase price for the pan (minus processing & handling) based on the number of years owned divided by seven (7) years. If purchased as part of a set, Tristar will either replace it or issue a refund in an amount equal to the purchase price of the individual pan reduced pro rata as discussed above. Tristar, in its sole discretion, will decide which method of honoring the guarantee will be selected. Please note that you the purchaser are responsible for providing proof of purchase and for returning the pan at your expense.
If for any reason, you would like to replace or return the product under the money-back guarantee, your order number can be used as the return merchandise authorization number (RMA). If the product was purchased in a retail store, return the product to the store or use “RETAIL” as the RMA. Return your product to the address provided below for a replacement, which will incur no additional processing and handling fees, or for the refund of your purchase price, less processing, and handling.
