Does the power cooker have lead in it?
What type of steel is the unit made of?
Is it normal to have steam come out of the sides?
If there is steam coming out of the sides and the button on top of the LID is in the closed position, then the LID has not seated. This sometimes happens when the unit is new. If the gasket is in place try pushing down on the LID. This should seal the Lid and the steam should stop coming out. It is also important to be sure the Float Valve is assembled correctly. Incorrect assembly may cause steam to come out the sides or prevent pressure from building. The Float Valve should be able to move up and down freely only stopping when the silicon gasket meets the LID. It is however normal for condensation to appear in the condensation collector. See Float Valve Assembly on Page 13 for correct assembly.
How do you assemble/disassemble the unit?
See Diagram on page 8/9 of this manual.
Why would the lid come off when it shouldn’t?
It would only come off if there was no pressure inside, see the answer to question 3 above.
What is the default time?
Each cooking mode has a default time that appears as soon as you select that desired mode button. Before the Default Time “minute count down” clock begins, the unit must first reach the proper pressure and/or temperature for that mode.
How long does it take the unit to reach full pressure and for the cook time clock to start a count down?
Up to 17 minutes.
Can you change the cook time, during the cooking process?
Yes! SEE INSTRUCTIONS ON PAGE 9.
Can you leave the unit on when not at home?
Yes! Once the time elapses the KEEP WARM will switch on.
Can you put frozen foods in without defrosting?
Yes, remember to add an extra 10 minutes for frozen meats.
The Power Cooker is covered by a 60-day money-back guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with your product, return the product and request a replacement product or refund. Proof of purchase is required. Refunds will include the purchase price, less processing, and handling. Follow the instructions in the Return Policy below to request a replacement or refund.
Replacement Guarantee Policy:
Our products, when purchased from an authorized retailer, include a 1-year replacement guarantee if your product or component part does not perform as expected, the guarantee extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. If you experience an issue with one of our products within 1 year of purchase, return the product or the component part for replacement with a functionally equivalent new product or part. The original proof of purchase is required, and you are responsible to pay to return the appliance to us. In the event a replacement appliance is issued, the guarantee coverage ends six (6) months following the receipt date of the replacement appliance or the remainder of the existing guarantee, whichever is later. Tristar reserves the right to replace the appliance with one of equal or greater value.
If for any reason, you would like to replace or return the product under the money-back guarantee, your order number can be used as the return merchandise authorization number (RMA). If the product was purchased in a retail store, return the product to the store or use “RETAIL” as the RMA. Return your product to the address provided below for a replacement, which will incur no additional processing and handling fees, or for the refund of your purchase price, less processing, and handling. You are responsible for the cost of returning the product. You can locate your order number at www.customerstatus.com. - Mailing address
- Phone number

- Reason for the return
- Proof of purchase or order number
- Specify on the note whether you are requesting a refund or replacement. Write the RMA on the outside of the package

Refunds requested within the money-back guarantee timeframe will be issued to the payment method used at purchase if the item was purchased directly from Tristar. If the item was purchased from an authorized retailer, proof of purchase is required, and a check will be issued for the item and sales tax amount. Processing and handling fees are non-refundable.
